Invigorate Recruitment are currently working with a prestigious award-winning hotel in North Yorkshire.
Our client requires a Chef de Partie to assist the Sous Chef in the preparation and presentation of food on their section “First role” in the Kitchen
Main Areas of Responsibility:
• To complete all Health & Safety and Job Skills training as required.
• To work in accordance with company Health & Safety and food hygiene guidelines
• To ensure the cleaning of equipment and kitchens are done to the highest standard on a regular basis.
• To ensure that preparation is completed to the highest standards to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen
• To order stock for the relevant section and check deliveries
• To ensure stock is stored correctly and properly rotated
• To complete all food preparation in time for service and ensure attention to detail in the preparation and serving of food for the customer
• To assist the team in ensuring that orders are prepared in a reasonable time
• To work with senior members of the team in developing ideas for the kitchen and new menus
• To cover the Sous Chef in their absence
• To assist the front of house team in dealing with customer requests
• To minimise waste and ensure correct portion size
Personal Specification:
Essential:
• Ability to work in a busy team orientated environment in all sections of the kitchen
• Availability to work varied shifts
• Willingness to learn and a passion for food a
• Very good communication skills specifically the ability to follow instructions
• Must be of smart appearance with excellent personal hygiene standards
Desirable:
A relevant NVQ Qualification
Previous kitchen experience
Knife Skills
