We are looking to recruit a Security Officer for our clients, the position is based in Leeds and is a full time day and night position. The Security Officer is responsible for all the physical and personnel security aspects relating to designated properties

Job Purpose
To maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and visitors whilst on
Property

To maintain the security of the building at all times
To ensure that any problems encountered out of office hours are resolved efficiently
Job Responsibilities
To ensure all records of personnel attending the building are recorded
To ensure the security logbook is completed each night
To answer telephone calls as a first point of contact. Pass on any messages
To ensure an appropriate handover with colleagues occur between attendances
To perform general office duties as required
To assist/compile security resource as required
Carry out thorough patrols internally and externally, including; Laundry and kitchen facilities; W.C.(s) and shower rooms. Check for leaks; Fire and exit doors. Check all are secure; External grounds. Check windows are secure
Where appropriate, check computer printouts for incidents
Report any incidents and maintain a record in the incident report book. React to incidents appropriately
Ensure visitors are aware of fire and evacuation procedures
Ensure visitors are aware of what to do in the event of a bomb threat
Ensure all keys for the premises are present and secure. Including fire doors
To be able to operate the alarm system and be familiar with all zones
To ensure only authorised vehicles are allowed on site
Deal with Service User issues and inform emergency contact when necessary
Wear correct uniform at all times
To assist/act as the fire officer for the building. Where appropriate, carry out regular fire alarm tests. Report and record any defects found
Where appropriate, allocate all post that has not been collected that day
Where appropriate, prepare kitchen/canteen requirements
To undertake other responsibilities and activity as required by management and senior personnel
The Succesful applicant must hold a valid SIA License
