A new opportunity has been opened to work with a major company in the utilities industry. They are now looking to recruit Business Energy Consultant.
The Role
The post holder will represent and promote our client to business customers through face-to-face contact via cold calling and self generated appointments. The post holder will also be required to visit customers as part of retention campaigns generated by marketing and customer service. To be responsible for the delivery of revenue, sales and quality targets.
• To work in a structured and productive way maximising all opportunities and manage own territory to ensure most effective use of time.
• To optimise revenue through the identification of opportunities within own territory.
• To work with the business to reduce and remove business move accounts with “the Occupier” status.
• To assist in the production of a weekly/quarterly territory plan based on the following activities: acquisition, cross sell, contract renewals, business moves, debt and energy efficiency advice.
• To complete all necessary paperwork and outcomes.
• To work with the territory sales manager in the development of SLA’s which will ensure that sales & service optimise all revenue activity.
• To attend and participate in team meetings, training programmes and company briefings as required.
• To promote and sell company products and services to customers that give the right profile and product mix as required.
• To generate quality sales leads and where appropriate pass onto other sales teams.
From time to time it will be necessary to travel and work away from the normal place of work which could result in a number of overnight stays.
About you
• Minimum 12months sales experience, with proven track record, preferably within Field/Territory Management environment.
• Adaptability and dynamism – Evidence of work in a fast paced and ever changing environment. Able to grasp new concepts
• Building relationships and empathy- Experience of dealing with a variety of customers
• Excellent numeric & written skills – Working knowledge of Microsoft PC applications (Outlook, Excel) and accuracy and legibility as required
