Our client has a vacancy for a Production Technician to join their team working at their site in Sowerby Bridge.
The role involves designing solutions to problems, building bespoke testing machines and line equipment, materials selection & procurement.
Ideally, you will be apprentice trained in a hands-on, machine building environment, with a good understanding of capital plant & equipment for the chemical, automotive & pharmaceutical industries. You will have MIG welding and manual machining experience, as well as working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, pump and mechanical systems.
Previous experience of fault diagnosis essential. AutoCAD experience and IT skills desirable.
You must be able to work with minimum supervision, have a meticulous eye for detail, and have a flexible and adaptable attitude.
Normal hours are 0800-1700 Monday-Friday. Starting salary £25,000 per annum.
