They currently have an exciting opportunity for a First Line Support Operator to join their Help Desk Department based in Leeds. The main purpose of this role is to accept, log and take ownership of fault calls placed by the Retail Estate and ensure that normal service is restored as quickly as possible with minimal disruption to the business. Within this role, your main responsibilities will include accepting fault calls from the Retail Estate, log all calls on the database with all information required and using detailed diagnostics, attempt first time fix wherever possible. You will also be expected to pass calls to relevant support departments, escalate calls to team leader as per guidelines and liaise with field engineers, 3rd party companies and support departments.
The successful candidate will ideally have worked in a similar position previously and will have a good understanding of what the role of support operator comprises. It is essential that you are committed to providing excellent customer service and possess an excellent telephone manner along with the ability to empathise with customers and remain calm at all times, even when under pressure. You will be a good team player but also capable of working alone using your initiative.
