Our client supplies a wide range of special engineering steels to a number of high profile industry sectors such as Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Mechanical Engineering and Off- highway vehicles.
The Account Manager is the key contact for their customers into the market place.
The post holder will be the commercial account holder with full and independent responsibility for the commercial results in terms of profitability, mix management and volume through sales to current and new customers in both home and export markets. The development of new profitable business will be a key aspect of this position.
They will take decisions and actions in order to optimise financial returns from their market sectors including, price negotiations, maximising manufacturability, agreement of payment terms, cash management and resolution of customer issues. You will be responsible for formulating and controlling detailed budgets for all your customers and ensuring that customer’s financial exposure is within the agreed credit control limits.
The successful candidate will have proven sales experience with the drive and enthusiasm to grow profitable business. Ideally you will hold a commercial or business qualification to degree level and / or some knowledge of engineering and aerospace steels, however this is not essential. A high level of inter-personal skill is required, as is the ability to be able to communicate at all levels.
Located in Rotherham, this role is commutable from areas such as Sheffield, Chesterfield, Mansfield, Macclesfield, Doncaster, Barnsley, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Leeds and Bradford.
