Job Purpose:

To provide leadership and expertise to develop and deliver our client's processes and supplier relationships to ensure the service for document and print requirements (Marketing & Publicity) meet the Client’s objectives of improved accessibility, cost savings, supply chain transparency and sustainability targets.

Support the organisation's drive for revenue growth and profitable business by effective management of a Product Portfolio and or category including the stock liability.

Take responsibility for a Product Portfolio and or Category and develop and communicate process and procedures to ensure the Document Advisors and Print Executives along with the brand's Strategic Sourcing (DOCS) are able to fully support service delivery.


Key Accountabilities:

Work with Print team, Suppliers and the internal DOCS team to:

Implement the document management ensuring the production of the most cost effective product is achieved meeting quality standards and environmental requirements

Provide value added solutions on print production / demand management, identifying and developing unique and creative document solutions, including impact to various design feature

Monitor and report quality of service delivered from supplier base

Conduct regular reviews of the Document Strategy with regard to the Category to identify opportunities for cost savings, account growth and increase profitability.

Work with the Document Advisors, Print Executives and Strategic Sourcing to effectively manage all projects to ensure on time and on budget delivery.

Take responsibility for the day-to-day relationship with third party suppliers and partners and report any issues to the Shared Services Supplier Manager.


Candidate Requirements:

Significant managerial or account management experience in the printing industry
Experience of working with Marketing & Publicity - Promotional items etc.
Experience of project work and ensuring that deliveries are achieved
Strong print industry knowledge including a detailed understanding of print production
Proven experience in a strategic sourcing and supplier management environment

Desirable:

Experience of working in the Public Sector or with a customer from the Public Sector
