Housing Support Worker (Variable Needs)
Temporary Contract (12 Months)
Leeds, West Yorkshire
Salary £19,910 - £23,082 plus Essential User Allowance

Our client are passionate about homes, communities and cultures. They work as a Registered Social Landlord operating on a not-for-profit basis under charitable rules.

The organisation manage almost 1,800 general needs homes, over 700 properties for older people plus student housing and a wide range of support and regeneration services across the whole of Leeds and Kirklees districts and in Calderdale and Wakefield.

They are currently looking for an approachable Housing Support Worker to offer an effective, efficient and sensitive intensive housing management and support service to both tenants and clients across Leeds.

With an organised approach, you will identify, maintain and provide appropriate support to a 'caseload' of 25 tenants, recognising their individual housing support needs and ultimately enabling them to sustain their own tenancy. You will visit tenants on a regular basis, building supportive relationships and assessing their support needs to ensure that appropriate support plans are in place. An all round team player, you will advise and assist Housing Directorate staff in selecting the relevant support needs and using appropriate services to deliver these needs.

With a clear understanding of equality issues, you will aid the implementation of the Association’s Equal Opportunities Policy to ensure equal access to all services provided by the Housing and Support Services Team.

The successful candidate must possess experience in a social care, residential or supported housing setting. Having previously worked with external agencies and IT literate, you will also have knowledge of using IT recording and reporting systems. With the confidence, tact and assertiveness when dealing with tenants, you must be prepared to be flexible to suit changing needs and demands.
