The Company
A global supplier of a niche market product.
The Role
My client is looking for someone to take responsibility for the technical management of the manufacturing process whilst at all times liaising with the production management team.
You will be required to foster a climate of continual improvement and develop existing and new products to ensure the performance optimisation of the site.
It will be your responsibility to ensure all products meet the specifications of the company and its customers as well as taking responsibility for compliance of UK and EU regulatory requirements.
You will be required to ensure the relevant training for employees on such issues as Health, Safety, Environment and Quality which should contribute to an accident free working environment.
The role will involve UK and some overseas travel.
Hours & Days: Normal office hours Monday Friday.
About You:
You must posses a Bachelors Degree or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline with a minimum of 5 years working experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably in the minerals or chemical processing industries).
Ideally you will be IOSH qualified and a qualified auditor with excellent knowledge and user experience of MS Office suite applications (particularly MS Excel).
Knowledge and/or practical experience of Lean Manufacturing techniques would be an advantage as would a good grounding in statistics to facilitate the analysis of production performance and quality figures
