Our client produces cards, wrap, gifting and toys exclusively for a major retailer; this is a wonderful opportunity for a writer to work with two of the most prestigious names in the greetings card industry, and as part of a small but growing writing team there are excellent opportunities for career progression.
They are looking for a talented greetings card writer to create and develop fresh concepts and new writing across their whole product range.
As part of a growing editorial team you will work alongside the studio designers and liaise with design managers to produce outstanding writing that is one step ahead of the market place.
Qualified in English to at least A level or equivalent, and preferably with greetings card industry experience, the successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for writing and the English language. You will be required to write in many different styles – from humour to sentiment – so good all-round ability is a must; however you will not generally be required to write long verses. And while pure design skills are not needed, you must be able to think visually, and produce strong concepts that integrate design and editorial.
