Invigorate Recruitment are currently working with a prestigious hotel within Harrogate to recruit a Golf Events Coordinator:
Job Purpose:
To provide the highest levels of customer service to all existing and new customers and to actively promote The Golf Park in accordance with agreed business plans.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Plan and prioritise sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims, including costs and sales especially managing personal time and productivity
Deal with initial enquiries both via the telephone, on-line and in person, process reservations and requests for future guests and respond to and follow up sales enquiries using appropriate methods
Actively promote and sell the hotel by conducting client showrounds
Coordinate bookings from enquiry level to the event ensuring that all clients' requests and requirements are met
Ensure that a follow up all is made after each event and that the possibility of future business is monitored and followed up
Calculate and record forecasted revenue for each event and be involved in the daily recording of actual figures against the monthly budget
Fully utilise the information systems in order to produce a detailed database to the Company standard, maintain and developing the database, recording information accurately and monitoring the history of demand for events, thus enabling valid, informed decisions to be made in the future.
Assist in the formulation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Ensure the provision of a quality service and product at all times
General
Be responsible for Health and Safety as an individual and also to work colleagues, customers and the business reporting concerns through the Health and Safety processes and procedures
Ensure Continuous Professional Development of self including attending required training courses and seeking means of developing within the business
Promote continuous improvement in the level of quality and customer care provided by the business and make proposals/suggestions where applicable.
Respect colleagues and the working environment at all times.
Ensure high standards of dress and self-presentation within the working environment
Undertake any other duties commensurate within the position for which you are qualified
Interested applicants need to have previous sales experience. A knowledge of golf and working within a hospitality environment would be advantageous but not essential.
