It is one of the leading providers of fixed odds bookmaking services, offering odds and taking bets on a wide range of sporting and other events as well as offering amusement with prizes machines and fixed odds betting terminals in licensed betting offices and operating online casino and poker sites, an interactive TV channel and greyhound stadia.

Our client currently has exciting opportunities for 3 individuals to join their Central Security team based in Leeds. The main purpose of the roles is to carry out the checking of betting shop transactions and deal with any errors or fraudulent activity, and participate in the Security Enquiries Help Line rota, processing, advising and resolving a range of enquiries from betting office employees. Within this role, your main responsibilities will include identifying errors or suspected thefts or frauds by checking the daily exception reports, carry out other checks such as monitoring cash flow and banking prompts and record any errors found in the department record system. You will also be expected to liaise with line managers regarding errors as required, interrogate the EPoS system to gather historical data to determine patterns and trends with regards to fraud or errors and conduct spot checks on shops by viewing previous betting activity.

The successful candidate will preferably have some experience in a similar role, have an excellent eye for detail and be accurate in their work. Knowledge of bookmaking with an understanding of betting would be an advantage but is not essential. You will be familiar with working within a proceduralised environment. It would be advantageous if you have experience of EPoS systems and security in an EPoS environment. You must be PC literate and have excellent communication skills along with being a team player with the ability to remain calm at all times.
