Job Overview
My client has a vacancy for electrical designers to join their multi-discipline project engineering teams. Our Clients provide us with challenging projects, of an industrial nature, throughout the UK, and we need to extend our electrical engineering resources.
Daily Activity
The successful candidate will work as a member of a project team; reporting to a Senior Engineer or Project Manager. Typical duties will involve:
Review of schedules, drawings, manuals, etc. and the collation and reporting of information.
Checking P&IDs, electrical schematics and drawings, etc., and other data.
Producing equipment, load, instrumentation etc., schedules from P&IDs.
Producing electrical detailed design drawings
Performing and checking cable calculations
Checking MCC schematic diagram functionality
Producing written specifications and reports
Electrical equipment and installation inspection and testing
Site attendance in support of the above as required
Experience
The candidate will be required to demonstrate the following:
Recent electrical design experience to BS7671; working on electrical projects in the water chemical, process, utility, or allied industries is essential.
Water Industry electrical expertise would be advantageous.
A practical appreciation of electrical site safety
