The Role
Responsible for the provision of efficient and courteous kitchen services to members and visitors and for maintenance of the kitchen area. These responsibilities include :
• In the Catering Manager’s absence, the management, motivation, training and welfare of all kitchen staff.
• Liaising with the Catering Manager’s in maintaining records of any overtime worked by such staff
• Ensuring that proper standards of health and safety at work are maintained, compliance with all current Food Hygiene legislation and the procedures for the safe operation of the Club’s equipment are followed by such staff at all times.
• Maintaining kitchen stocks in accordance with the policy laid down by the Committee and for purchasing such stocks at the lowest price possible within the delivery times required.
• Providing food to the required standard of the club and in accordance with all current legislation for bar snacks, Meals and Functions.
• Issuing written orders for supplies required, recording the receipt of such goods and subsequently approving the suppliers invoices.
• Providing food and provisions when required for the Halfway House
• Maintaining all Kitchen equipment in clean and good working order.
• Maintaining adequate stocks of cleaning materials and purchasing supplies at competitive prices.
• Reporting to the Secretary any damages or necessary repairs to the kitchen.
• Maintaining security of the kitchen
